I have been a tad slack on my posts of late, so many things going on towards the end of the year. The latest iikoy clothing shoot theme for their Autumn/Winter Range, was “One Night in Helsinki” Think of it as 1950′s Beautiful Vampires; Seductive Creatures of the Night, with animalistic tendencies and lots of Classy, Sassy Style. It was a cold night and we set off for the walkway in Coolangatta with a generator and my studio lighting. I think with the 80 or so outfit changes and limited amount of time we had, plus the onlookers, we managed to pull it off. Here is one of my fave shots from the shoot.

New iikoy clothing range

Hello again, Gold Coast Fashion Photographer Melissa Cameron here, I had a pretty busy week shooting and editing. The most exciting shoot this week was Where the City meets the Beach, a fabulous new range from iikoy. The day was going great, the weather was a little windy but not enough to deter us from achieving out goal. We started out at Main Beach at the Lifguard tower, then headed over to Marina Mirage where we climbed onto a magnificent boat, then on to Billys Beach House for some night shots by the pool. Although by the time we got to the poolside, the Model was getting a little tired, it had been a very long day. Male Model Photos

I had the joy of shooting male model/actor Kynan yesterday on the beach, I could not have asked for better weather, well actually could have done with a little less wind but that was the only problem. Late afternoon I grabbed my gear and headed for my local beach to meet the model and my assistant Rachael. Kynan had also brought his new camera, the Canon 1D Mark IV, I was allowed to play with it for the afternoon.  Kynan now rents on the gold coast for when you need it, to check out your options head to Gold Coast Camera Hire for Gold Coasts only Pro Digital SLR rental company. iikoy Fashion shoot

I just finished a hectic couple of days shooting the new look book for the new season range for iikoy clothing, with Trudy from Substance Shop in Coolangatta. Was a bit of a crazy schedule, but I managed it. Shoot on the Thursday and Friday late afternoon, then straight back to the office to start the post production, had to have ready for the designer by lunch time Saturday….. Phew! I got it done and am pretty happy with the results, so if you have a catalog you need to shoot you know where to come!! Well it has been a while yet again. Its amazing how time flies by when you are busy shooting Commercial Photography on the Gold Coast.

I had a call the other day from an old client from years ago, wanting some updated natural modelling shots done. I was only allowed to shoot with natural light and she wasnt allowed to wear makeup etc…

So with that in mind I found a nice little nook at her place and shot away. I hope you like them.
